Our Team

Faye Hamilton

Community Engagement Lead

Faye has been a social worker for over 30 years and has spent much of that time working with children, youth and families involved with child welfare services.  Her experiences watching youth in care and her own children find their way in the world have brought her to this project as she knows that learning to be an 'adult' is hard, takes time, and requires support from the people around you.  She is very excited to be part of co-creating this resource.

Rebecca Stiller

Research Lead

Becca is a professor and researcher who loves working with young people and community members to build cool, useful stuff. She’s all about learning together, sharing power, and making sure youth voices actually shape what gets created. She loves playing soccer, asks a lot of questions, and believes research shouldn’t be boring.

Dr. Aaron Turpin holds a PhD and MSW from the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto. He has over 15 years of experience in the non-profit and human services sector supporting diverse groups in a variety of positions, including leading research and evaluation projects with community-based health and mental health organizations.

We’re looking for volunteers because Next Steps is all about working with youth and community—not just for them. Whether you’re a young person with ideas, lived experience, or creative skills, or a community agency that wants to support youth in new ways, we’d love to team up. Help us create real, useful content—or help spread the word so it reaches the people who need it most. Your voice, your story, and your support can make a real difference.
